Microblading Aftercare

After Care Instructions

Please follow these instructions for 10 days after the procedure to improve and prolong the results of your Microblading/Ombre. If you don’t follow these instructions, it can negatively affect your Microblading/Ombre results or put you at risk for infection.

Avoid getting anything on the brows, including water, except for cleansing as directed.

The day of the treatment:

Gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.

From days 1-10:

Step 1 - Cleanse

Gently cleanse your eyebrows with cotton pad and water twice a day (morning/night). DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycol, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.

Step 2 - Dry

Gently pat dry with a clean tissue.

Step 3 - Moisturize

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.

Tips to improve and prolong the results of Microblading/Ombre

  • Do not soak the treated area in the bath, pool or hot tub. For 14 days, refrain from swimming in salt water or chlorinated pools, saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms or sun beds.
  • No exercise for 14 days. After 14 days – when exercising, wear a sweatband to avoid sweat on brow area.
  • Do not expose treated area to direct sunlight. After healed (14 days), use a sunscreen to avoid fading from the sun.
  • No makeup should be applied directly on the brows during the healing process.
  • Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch your brows following treatment or during healing process.
  • You may find that your eyebrows will scab or become slightly dry following the treatment. If they itch, DO NO SCRATCH them. You may tap them to alleviate the itch.
  • Avoid using daily skincare products directly on the eyebrows.
  • If you are planning a chemical peel, or any other medical procedure, please inform therapist of the procedure you have had. Procedure should only be done once the healing process is complete.

If you have any expected problems with healing of the skin, please contact us immediately to discuss further instructions.

Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in order.

If physician care is required by the client client related to the Microblading/Ombre procedure, the client is to notify us of the problem and resolution by the physician or clinic.  This information shall be placed in the client’s file.
