Pre-Procedure Care
- No Antibiotics 2 months prior.
- If you are prone to cold sore or had it even once in your time life, it is highly suggested to take antiviral medication. This can be prescribed by your primary physician. Take this medication 3-4 days prior to your appointment and continue to take it until your are done healing. Without this medication, the procedure may cause a flare up.
- Discontinue Retin-A and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) or any skin care product that encourages exfoliation around the procedure area 6 weeks prior to procedure.
- Avoid all blood thinners, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Caffeine (including tea), smoking, Alcohol, Soda, Vitamin E, Fish Oil 24 hours prior to your procedure.
